Tile adhesive (C1T) 1919 KALEKIM

Description
Grey cement-based adhesive for ceramic tiles, with reduced slip.

Area of ​​use
● For bonding ceramic floor and wall tiles, marble, natural stone, travertine and small and medium-sized figured bricks to plaster and cement screeds,
as well as concrete surfaces.

Surface preparation
● Make sure that the surfaces are solid and dry, clean the surfaces from oils and
greases. Apply to hardened cement surfaces.
● Remove cracked plaster fragments and cement residues from the surfaces.
● Moisten porous surfaces and leave to dry before applying the adhesive.
● If the surface is uneven, level and smooth it using Tamirart or Mastar 10.
● Before applying the product, prime the surface with Kalekim Astar primer, taking into account the absorption properties of the surface.
● To increase the adhesive strength, prime exposed concrete surfaces with Kalekim В-
tone primer.
● Clean the dust on the back of the tiles with water.

Instructions for use
● Slowly pour 1919 Kalekim into clean water, in the proportion specified in the technical table, and
mix until a homogeneous paste is obtained, without lumps. It is recommended to use a low-speed mixer for mixing. Do not add additives that are not specified in the instructions for use.
● Leave for 5-10 minutes until the solution sets. Stir again for 1-2 minutes and
the solution will be ready for use.
● Consumption is 3-5 kg/m2.
● Use the prepared solution within 6 hours.
● To apply the solution to the surface, use a notched spatula appropriate to the size of the tile.
For better adhesion, first apply a thin layer of glue with the flat side of the spatula, then
treat the surface with the notched side of the spatula.
● The open time of the glue is 30 minutes. During this time, lay the tiles with strong
pressure. Unfavorable climatic conditions (high temperature, low humidity,
wind, etc.) may reduce this time to a few minutes. If this time is exceeded,
remove the solution from the surface.

Care and further recommendations
● Clean tools and hands with water, and surfaces with a damp cloth.
● Discard solutions that have expired after mixing the components.
● Protect tiles laid using 1919 Kalekim from water for at least 24 hours
and protect from freezing and strong sunlight for at least 5-7 days
.
● Grouting of joints is possible after 8 hours on walls and after 24 hours on floors.
● Floors can be opened for light foot traffic after 24 hours.
● Protect the surface from air currents during and after applying the adhesive.
● Do not use the solution in rainy weather. After application, protect the surface from rain for 24
hours.
● Protect the solution from direct sunlight. The solution must be diluted with warm water.
● The temperature during application should be between +5°C and +35°C.

● The table provides average consumption values, which may vary depending on
the conditions of use and the quality of the surface.

Storage
● Store the product packaging in a cool, dry, moisture-proof place at a temperature of +5°C to +35°C, away from direct sunlight.
● Protect the product packaging from water, freezing and adverse weather
conditions.
● Do not stack more than 10 packages on top of each other.
● Under the above conditions, the shelf life does not exceed 12 months.
