Adhesive for granite tiles (C2TE) 1055 GRANITECH

Description
High-performance adhesive for ceramics, cement-based, with reduced slip and
high viability.

Areas of use
● For bonding granite, ceramics, large-sized porcelain tiles, clinker, cotto and similar
materials on vertical and horizontal surfaces, inside and outside buildings, on concrete, plaster, screed surfaces.
● For covering old ceramic and granite surfaces with ceramic tiles.
● For covering areas with intensive foot traffic, such as schools,
hospitals, shopping centers, etc.

Properties
● Has high adhesion.
● Does not float on vertical surfaces
● Easy to work with a notched trowel.
● Can be used for tiles up to 60×60 without a reinforcing mesh, both indoors and outdoors.
Surface preparation
● Make sure that the surface is dry, clean and solid.
● The surface should be free from residues such as dust, dirt, grease, paint, which can prevent adhesion.
● Remove cracked plaster, weak layers that do not have a supporting force, cement residues from the surface.
● Fill cracks and correct defects on the surface to be treated with products from the Tamirart or Мastar 10 series. For anhydride surfaces, use Gypsastar.
● Depending on absorption, treat the surface with Kalekim Astar primer before application.
● For better adhesion on exposed concrete, treat the surface with Kalekim B-tone primer for exposed concrete.
● Before applying to an existing ceramic surface, it is necessary to treat the surface with Kalekim Dolgulu Astar.
● Clean and moisten the back of the ceramic tiles.

Instructions for use
● Gradually add Granitech to water in the proportion specified in the technical table
and stir until a uniform consistency is obtained. It is recommended to use a mixer at low speeds. It is not allowed to add any substances that are not specified in the instructions.
● Leave the resulting solution to mature for 5-10 minutes. Stir again for 1-2 minutes before use.
● Consumption 3-5 kg/m2.
● Use the ready solution within 4 hours.
● To ensure a higher level of adhesion, apply the solution to the surface to be coated with a straight trowel, then spread it with a notched spatula, according to the selected tile size.
● In the process of grouting tiles 40×40 cm and larger, as well as in areas of intensive foot traffic, it is recommended to use the combined grouting method.
● Lay the tiles flat no later than 30 minutes after applying and leveling the solution.
In case of high temperatures, low humidity, wind or similar unfavorable conditions, the grouting time of the tiles may be reduced. Do not use a solution whose expiration date has expired. Such a solution must be removed from the surface.
● Constantly check the adhesive by touch and make sure that no crust has formed on top and that it is still in “working condition”.

Care and further recommendations for use
● After finishing work, wash your hands and tools thoroughly with water.
The surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
● During and after work, the surface should be protected from the wind.
● In hot weather, it is necessary to protect the solution from direct sunlight, and the solution should be prepared with warm water.
● Protect from water for 24 hours after use.
● The product must be used within its working life. The use of expired or crusted mortar is strictly prohibited.
● Granitech is recommended for bonding light-colored ceramics to surfaces such as plaster, gypsum, gypsum panels.
● It is not allowed to use on surfaces that may freeze within 24 hours. Do not use on frozen or thawing surfaces.
● Do not use in strong winds or on very hot surfaces under direct sunlight. If use in such environments is necessary, the environment and surface must be prepared before starting work.
● Do not use in rainy weather. After use, protect from rain for 24 hours.
● The average temperature of the surface and the environment during use should be +5°C-+35°C.

● The consumption is shown as a general indication.
● The consumption may vary depending on the conditions of use and the characteristics of the surface.

Storage
● Store at a temperature of +5°C to +35°C, protected from direct sunlight.

● Protect from water, frost and severe weather conditions.
● Stacking is allowed in a maximum of 10 layers.
● Under the above conditions, the shelf life is 12 months
